Micro Maille

I have also been working with tiny rings to make some more petite bracelets.  One is a spiky version of the normal Byzantine bracelet and the other two are captured crystals.  These are very cute and very dainty.  I'm including pictures of the Byzantine next to a "normal-sized" Byzantine...normal being the size I usually make :)  There are also comparison pictures next to Sharpie markers to really get an idea of how small these are :D

The Petite Spiky Byzantine can also be made with the points going in alternating directions.  I got this kit from Unkamen Supplies, which made a truly lovely little bracelet.

The Micro Captured Crystal Bracelets were a kit provided by Metal Designz and tutorial from Rocky Mountain Maille.  I love these bracelets.  The small Swarovski crystals really shine with a multitude of colors that the smaller rings allow you to see from any angle.

So..

I know I'm off to a bit of a rough start on this.  I'm still trying to work out exactly how to go about it.  I suppose since I already told you a little about me and what got me started on making chainmaille jewelry, I'll try to describe a little bit about how I'm going about running it as a business. For right now I just have Facebook, Instagram, and word of mouth to get my name and creations out there.  I am hoping that this blog will help as well and will be somewhere for those who may not have social media accounts to get to know me and see my work so they know what they're getting when they make a purchase.  My goal is to hopefully get more people interested in what I'm making and get a bigger base for sales.  I also hope to get some people interested in chainmaille in general because it's pretty amazing stuff. New Captures

Pixie Snowflake The first of the new captures is called Pixie Snowflake.  It features a Swarovski Crystal Rivoli in Sapphire.  It is a gorgeous design from Dawdling Dragons.  This one is the pendant size, but it can also be made in earring size.   The second is called Crystal Cascade. This one, in particular, is made with rainbow hematite beads and a Swarovski Crystal Rivoli in the color called Vitrail Medium.  It is a stunning piece and, while a little big for any pendant I personally would wear, it is an amazing statement piece or even an ornament if you choose. Crystal Cascade Pendant The next is a collection of captures done in aluminum and rubber and connected with Byzantine units to support the weight and give the piece some stability.  It is the Galaxy Necklace and features Swarovski Crystal Rivolis in Emerald. Custom Piece!

Provided photo of Isagenix Logo I have finished a custom requested piece for a lovely woman who wanted her business logo on a necklace.  After lots and lots of playing around with rings, I finally fabricated a workable necklace!  I delivered it to her a few days ago and am happy to report she loved it!!  For those who may not know, the logo she requested (see picture) is for Isagenix.  It was a few tricky looking shapes to try to make and took a lot longer than I care to admit (lol) to figure out a way to make it.  I was able to get it all done though, mostly in a simple European 4 in 1 pattern with some Half-Persian for stabilization.  I've added some photos of the process.  These are all the same photos I had sent to her throughout and I would do the same for you if you were to request a custom piece (or any piece if you'd like updates). Step One: Making the shapes  The first thing I did was try to get the different shapes of the logo m...
